L.A. Post Fest is a unique editing competition, utilizing footage from a professionally shot 4K Hollywood short film (entitled 'Protocol'), and digital assets provided by festival partners.
Competitors are invited to create and finish the movie using their own unique artistic vision and technical skills including editing, color grading, visual effects, audio sweetening and sound effects editing. Full details of the competition are available here.
Editors worldwide, with a broad range of post production skills, are encouraged to participate. Five lucky winners will have their version of the short film screened at a theater in LA, win thousands of dollars of prizes and have your work seen by top industry professionals in Hollywood.
Prize packages will be awarded to winners totaling over $28,000 of software, hardware, equipment and accessories suitable for digital content creators.
And you still have time to participate! There is just under one month left for entrants to sign up as all film submissions are due on February 7th, 2016.
