The 72 Film Fest is an annual time-based film competition where teams have 72 hours to make a movie.
Based just outside the DC/Baltimore metropolitan area, 72 Film Fest inspires and challenges filmmakers to create a movie based around a specific annual theme. Prizes are awarded in Acting, Writing, Cinematography, Music, Sound & more.
2016 marked the 72 Film Fest's 11th year and featured the theme "Tarot." 40 films were made between Sept. 29 - Oct. 2 and screened on Oct. 7 - 8.
Pro Sound Effects was the prize sponsor for Best Sound, offering 50 downloads for the PSE Online Library, which was awarded to Laserstar for their film "Downpour." Laserstar also won Best of the Fest, Best Cinematography, and Best Professional.
