Hybrid Owner Explores Touch & Motion Controls in Sound Design

Written by Andrew Emge | Jan 27, 2016 8:57:35 PM

Inspired by how different workflows can influence the end result...

post audio engineer and Hybrid Library owner, Justin Spasevski, decided to take a close look at a variety of touch and motion controls available to sound designers.

"Given recent technological advancements in capacitive touch screens and consumer level motion sensors, I have found the tech to be increasingly useful for sound design applications. What makes them so interesting is their unique approach to ‘user input’, often adding extra dimensions to the standard ‘click’ and ‘type’ interactions we’re all accustomed to."

Spasevski explores 3rd party iPad apps Lemur and Samplr as well as motion-sensing technology Leap Motion Controller paired with Geco. Findings from his experimentations are provided along with demo videos.
