Getting Started with Pro Sound Effects Access (for Teams)

Welcome to Pro Sound Effects (PSE)! We’re so pleased that you’ve chosen to partner with us to power your sound effects library. This document serves as a quick guide and reference point to help you get started on your path to sonic success.

Registering your PSE Account

Account Registration & Login Instructions:

1. If this is your first time with Pro Sound Effects, you’ll need to create an account.

2. Once your account has been set up, you’ll have full access to your library from our Website and SoundQ.

Getting Started with PSE Web Access

Step 1: Visit the PSE Website at https://prosoundeffects.com

Step 2: Navigate to the sign-in page by clicking the icon in the upper right-hand corner.

Step 3: Enter your email + password you created above, then click ‘Sign In’.

Step 4: Search, browse, preview, download, and begin creating your best-sounding work!

Getting Started with SoundQ 

Here's how to get started:

Step 1: Download SoundQ

Step 2: When you first open the app, enter your email and click ‘Go’

Step 3: Enter your email + password created above and begin exploring our catalog!

→ Once logged in, you'll have unlimited access to your library via the cloud. Search, browse, preview, and spot or drag sounds directly into your project, with many more features on the way soon.

→ You can enable the ‘SoundQ Help Feature’ by clicking on the [?] icon in the upper right corner for additional support and guidance while getting started with SoundQ.

The Pro Sound Effects platform integrates seamlessly with industry-leading creative tools to support the work of sound designers, film editors and creatives and the DAWs, NLEs, and sound organization tools they already use.

Additional Notes

Search Tips! (Use Boolean Search to quickly narrow or expand your search results)

Boolean Search:

• AND (default):
  crow distant → finds sounds with both words
• OR:
  (dark, moody, drafty) → finds any of these words
• NOT:
  crow -crowd → excludes unwanted terms

UCS-Category System:

• Our library is tagged with extensive descriptive metadata using the Universal Category System (UCS), so we expect you to have no problem finding what you’re looking for.
